Sacramento, the capital of California, is a vibrant city with a golden past. Sac Town, as locals like to refer to it, is ideally located where the Sacramento and American rivers converge, just 90 miles northeast of San Francisco. Sacramento was founded in 1848 by a pioneer named John Sutter who originally named the area Sutter Fort.
