This house, designed and built by famed new haven area architect douglas orr, was most recently the home of writer and new haven register editor, robert leeney. Leeney joined the register staff in 1940, retired in 1982, and was editor emeritus until his death in 2008. Until 2007, mr. Leeney wrote a weekly column in the saturday register.
