''Buy where you can own your own view,'' was frank lloyd wright's advice to the lovnesses when they first met in 1954. The couple purchased 20 acres of lakefront property and mr. Wright designed for them an original usonian home. Armed with the design, they transformed boulders into a monumental central hearth that would form heart of their home. Flw nicknamed them his ''do-it-yourself couple''. After the home was complete, mr. Wright gave the couple a gift ~ 4 more original designs. In 1973, they built a cottage which became the 2nd of the designs planned to ring their lakeshore. The 3 remaining are only dreams on paper, waiting for the vision to be fulfilled by a new owner. The lovness estate stands as sound and as meticulously cared for as it was when built. The estate has been the subject of scores of articles over the years. In 2008, it was featured in a photo essay living in luxury: inside the world's most glamorous homes, by alexander v. G. Kraft and forward by donald trump.
