In 1904, St. Louis also made history by becoming the first city in the U.S. to host the Olympic Games, which also coincided with the World's Fair. Forest Park was developed in conjunction with the Fair and today is home to the Municipal Theater, the oldest and largest outdoor theater in the U.S.

The Lemp Mansion, a murder-mystery restaurant venue/theater/ bed and breakfast all rolled into one is also well known in St. Louis as a popular haunted site with many reported ghost sightings.
