The original owner swiss born theophilus zurbrugg was the first of his family to come to the us at age 15, settling in nj in 1876. In 1910, theophilus commissioned the eminent philadelphia architect, frank furness, to design a magnificent brick & stone mansion, complete with a carriage house. Since frank furness died in 1912, it is believed to be one of his last commissions. This beautiful brick carriage house is very stately and has so much charm.
