Bio
Having grown up in a family of Realtors, it must be in my blood to be involved in this business. Certainly after having listened to conversations around the dinner table, that frequently included real estate and mortgage topics, my instincts and perspective are well honed at this point.
Prior to actually getting licensed as a Realtor, I developed a acumen for customer service, relationship building and marketing, by selling print and online advertising for twenty years.
My home environment has always been important to me, so in my quest for a home that would fulfill all of my needs, I lived in many different Chicago neighborhoods, in many different types of property. After years of buying, selling, fixing up and moving, I finally found and improved a home and wanted to stay put. But that left a big void in my personal interest since I had become somewhat of a real estate hobbyist. That's when I decided to follow in the family footsteps and get my real estate license. I guess it's a natural progression when you think about it. Now I have the luxury of putting my selling and promotional skills together with something about which I'm passionate.
Chicago is a fantastic city with a variety of neighborhoods that make the city what it is. Every neighborhood and every property has its advantages and unique characteristics. Discovering them and making them shine is a job I've found to be a perfect match for my life.
A Chicago resident for twenty-five years, I lived in Bucktown and Wicker Park ahead of the game and most recently Lincoln Square, where I enjoyed some fantastic appreciation over the past eleven years. Witnessing the transformations of each of these neighborhoods has been like watching a different flowering plant come into bloom.
The vast majority of buyers and sellers are hungry for information. If you think about it, buying and selling our homes is not something we do frequently enough that we remember all of the processes and details. I find that arming my clients with good information and advice from my experiences earns their trust and makes the whole process run more smoothly.
Having remodeled homes of my own, I have a working knowledge of the rehab process and can offer such insight. In addition, I've been very involved with developers in the Chicago market, from finding conversion candidate buildings to marketing such projects from planning to closing.
