Nathan Spoonts brings broad leadership and development experience to build upon HomeFinder.com’s tech platform

Chicago, IL, March 27, 2012 - HomeFinder.com, one of the fastest growing real estate websites, announced that Nathan Spoonts has joined the management team as the Vice President of Technology. Spoonts brings more than 16+ years of experience in technical management, software and application development, and programming to the role.

As the Vice President of Technology, Spoonts will drive HomeFinder.com’s overall technology strategy, which encompasses software engineering, infrastructure, architecture and analysis, QA, and technical operations. He will be charged with continually improving the overall quality of data; decreasing the time to market for new features, enhancements, and improvements to the site; and making HomeFinder.com a destination for top technology talent in Chicago.

Spoonts comes to HomeFinder.com most recently from Cars.com, where he was the Director of Development. In that role, he established and led the company’s technical direction using innovative technology to drive business. Under his lead, a team of architects and engineers were able to establish Cars.com’s industry best practices, including regarded engineering, coding and unit testing standards.

Spoonts holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of Chicago in Chicago, IL. He lives in Chicago with his wife.
