What does a dad look for in a new house? A powder room? A master ensuite? No! Dad wants a place to kick back,
relax, and well, just be a man. In celebration of Father’s Day, we put dad’s sage advice to work and “built” the ultimate man cave on Pinterest. Whether your dad’s dream retreat is a sports memorabilia haven, an alfresco grilling kitchen, or simply a good, old-fashioned garage, we’re sure that one of these hideouts will be a perfect fit when he needs to retreat to his own man cave.
Make the most of an outdoor shed. Clear out the broken lawnmower or the weather-beaten lawn chair cushions to convert this extra space into a unique man cave. Adding a quick coat of paint and a pool table can upgrade the house’s value and will create a room that dad can call his own.
Garage turned golf course. If you have extra garage space, take advantage and transform into dad’s very own course! Install a putting green and scenic backdrop and Dad can hit the links without leaving home.
Alfresco grilling kitchen. It’s no secret that dad considers himself the grill master (we will let those extra charred burgers slide this time, since it’s Father’s Day). Let dad grill to his heart’s (or stomach’s) content with an alfresco kitchen, complete with multiple grills. Don’t forget to share these grilling tips with him!
Fishing for serenity. For the water-loving dad, bring a bit of the ocean to him by installing a wall-length saltwater tank. He won’t be able to go fishing in it, but this should offer him a nice, relaxing view!
Bring the locker room home. Give dad a place to display all of the sports memorabilia he has collected over the years, or a place to hang his athletic achievements to relive the glory days.
Dad may say he doesn’t care about accessorizing, but we bet if you show him this riding mower scented candle, leather six-pack holder, or an inviting leather arm chair, he won’t be able to refuse decorating his new space! We want to wish all our home buying, selling and shopping dads a happy Father’s Day; visit us on Pinterest to check out more great home features on our Father’s Day board.

Here, here, I commend you on your innovative ideas. Family inspired ideas mean even more. How about including a Batmobile in your man cave?
Thanks for reading; great thinking on family-inspired ideas!
Good day! I could have sworn I’ve been to your blog before but after going through a few of the posts I realized it’s new to me. Nonetheless, I’m definitely happy I came across it and I’ll be bookmarking it and checking back often!
