2012 HomeFinder.com Agent Makeover Sweepstakes winner, Judy Marshak, is a 20-year real estate industry veteran and real estate agent with iProperties International, in Henderson, Nevada. Judy recaps her HomeFinder.com Agent Makeover Sweepstakes experience and shares what she took away during her business and style makeover in Chicago.

1.) What were your motivating factors to enter the HomeFinder.com Agent Makeover Sweepstakes? To get a new look and style and gather fresh ideas for my real estate business.

2.) What part of your business are you most looking forward to making over? Continuing to work with past clients and improve my referral business. I plan on creating a Facebook page for my real estate business and to keep in contact with past clients through email and social media.

3.) How do you think HomeFinder.com’s Single Property Website product will best help your business and your clients? Single Property Websites will give my listings greater exposure. Of course the sellers will love having a unique website dedicated to their home and will make them feel extra special.

4.) What was the most valuable piece of business/marketing advice you took away from the makeover? Incorporating the power of Internet marketing and social media when running a successful real estate business.

5.) What was the most valuable piece of style advice you took away from the makeover? You don’t have to depart from comfort to be stylish!

6.) As a winner of the HomeFinder.com Agent Makeover Sweepstakes, if you had to share one piece of business makeover advice with your real estate colleagues, what would it be? Create a Facebook page for your business and keep the page current through by sharing relevant and current real estate advice, tips and news.

7.) How will your style makeover help to improve the business side of your business? I will have a much more professional appearance when I meet with clients.

8.) What was the most exciting part about your style makeover? My new hair! I am going to spend a bit more time on my appearance, something I had been ignoring.

9.) How do you feel incorporating social media and new technology will help you better interact with your clients/potential clients? Keeping my name and real estate business in the forefront will hopefully lead to more client referrals.

10.) What was your favorite part of the trip/what was the most important thing you learned? The whole part was wonderful. Being treated like a celebrity is quite an ego booster. The “family style” dinners, and walking to the restaurants was quite enjoyable for me. I would love to live in a place where you can walk to stores, salons, restaurants, etc. I did not think this existed outside of small towns! I also learned that real estate agents from across the country generally experience similar scenarios.
