In the spirit of last weekend’s Super Bowl XLVII, we ran a Big Game Ticket Giveaway Sweepstakes, specifically for Century 21 Broker/Owners. The winner of two tickets to
the Big Game in the Big Easy (a dream for many!), was Century 21 Broker, Lise Burnett (Century 21 on The Lake, Clarksville, VA). We were able to chat with Lise, who told us the tickets would help her husband fulfill an even larger dream. Read on to find out how!
1.) How long have you been a Century 21 Broker? I have been in real estate since 1984, and with Century 21 since 1998.
2.) What is the most rewarding part of your job? I’ve had the privilege of working with so many wonderful and talented people who have relocated to Clarksville and contribute to our community. Clarksville, VA is a small town, one hour north of Raleigh-Durham, NC and two hours south of Richmond, VA. We have 1,200 residents and are proud of our beautiful Buggs Island/Kerr Lake!
3.) What did you decide to do with your winning Super Bowl XLVII tickets? My husband and I decided to sell the tickets in order to help fulfill his true dream, which is to see all of the Major League Baseball stadiums in the U.S. He has had a challenging few years, as he was diagnosed with three different types of cancers in 12 months, but thankfully, he is doing well.
4.) How many other ballparks has he visited? My husband has been to 28 of the 32 Major League ballparks, including the World Series in Texas in 2012 and several baseball tours, where they visited several cities to see many teams play.
5.) What stadiums will you be visiting as a result of your winnings? His bucket list includes Houston, TX; Denver, CO; Tampa Bay and Miami, FL. He is especially fond of 1950s and 1960s baseball players and their history. He considers the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY the Holy Ground!
6.) Were you still able to enjoy the Super Bowl? We watched the Super Bowl with friends and I wore my Century 21 baseball shirt (we sponsor the local Little League Homerun Derby). During every Century 21 commercial when they asked, “Is there a Century 21 Agent in the house?” I said, “I’m a Century 21 Agent!”
